Wow! what a whirlwind last couple of weeks.. Peggy and I drove out to Portland last weekend. We got the lay of the land and checked out areas and houses for rent and for sale. We found some areas that we really like. Portland is really a cool town, it has the hipness of Minneapolis and the outdoor/"green" mentality of Boulder.
One of my co-workers is sub-letting me a studio condo in this really cool building and it's only 7 blocks from work. It's the fist time I've lived downtown and have been able to walk to work. I will stay here when I am in town and will be commuting back and forth from Minneapolis until we figure out a renter for our place in Minneapolis.
This week I've been on boarding and meeting all of the staff and team. I'm amazed at the talent and great minds here. It's going to to be a great experience and the work I'm going to be doing is backed by the world-leader in analytics.
Next week I'll be at our San Francisco office and the week after that I'll be in Minneapolis.
