Summer made an appearance today with hot humid and windy. It was good to lineup with my teammates. We haven't all raced together since last year. This was the final day of an omnium and my teammates SuperStar and B2B were 1 and 2 overall. Since I didn't participate in the other stages my goal was to make sure they didn't loose their overall positions. A break went the 2nd lap and I went with it. I had no right going that early, but went anyway. Luckily after a few laps a few more bridged up and a few laps later 1/2 the field had caught us. Even with 15 guys in the break it wasn't easy. The wind was blowing hard so it guttered quite a few times. With a few laps to go a break got away and then SuperStar went and bridged and ended up winning the race and the overall and B2B maintained his 2nd place overall. I ended up 14th and was happy to be in the break all day. The fitness is coming around slowly, but that is good since I'm not planning on full fitness till September for cyclocross season.
